Amazing! I can't wait to show the kids in my PE class this video. I posted it on my PE FB page. Crazy! The kids are screaming after about 30 seconds of the plank.

Love it, J! Your remarks help round out the story even more....appreciate the time you took from your crazy-busy schedule (hence the "prolific" reference I made) today.

Pretty sure this is the first time I've ever been referred to as prolific! Interestingly enough, this was total coincidence. Like complete, random, coincidence.

I was on my way to photograph the Micro Brew and Food Review on Marion when I found a meter to park at on South Blvd. Noticed the men playing chess, and like you, figured it was too good to pass up. Reminded me of the guys I've photographed several times down at North Ave. Beach. (In fact, both said they somewhat regularly play chess at that location as well.)

Shot a few photographs, had a lovely chat with the two men who could not have been more kind, and made my way to my scheduled assignment.

Wish I could say I had seen your photos and article, but this is the first I'm learning of them. Better late than never, though, I enjoyed reading your posts today. Thanks, JGeil.

As someone who has written these letters for Northwestern... it is brutal. Student groups get paid $1/letter and are sent very strict guidelines on how the letters must appear. After you write 2 of these, to people you don't know for reasons you don't know, you just want to get it over with!

This is a good post and inspired me to start with LinkedIn recommendations. But the biggest challenge I faced was writing 'good recommendations' because I am not that good in creative writing. I was looking for some reference which can help me improve and found this wonderful book,"101 LinkedIn
Recommendations"(http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004OL2N4M). It helped me and hence sharing with all with hope that it will help others.

Unless it's a "whale fail-sized snafu" (which yours was decidedly NOT), it's never a bad day to wind up in Entrepreneur. Keep it clever, Matt. I'm cheering you on!

In addition, Seth hits on so many points regarding WHAT these colleges are churning out. The current college model is OUTDATED. It is no longer relevant for the needs of today and tomorrow. It's paying homage to yesterday.

Loved this post & the way you are handling this situation. Our library now has FB and Twitter accounts and it was suggested that we set up "professional" FB and Twitter if we want to keep personal/professional separate. I have talked to teachers who also have this issue, but managing more than one FB etc. is problematic if you don't love it. :)

I've also talked to parents and kids (at home and adult kids) who aren't sure how much they want their virtual worlds to intersect. I have 2 adult daughters; one is a FB friend and the other isn't. I didn't even ask either of them for months b/c I wanted to respect their privacy.
